The New Homebuyers' Choice Awards Program

The New Homebuyers' Choice Awards Program

The New Homebuyers' Choice AwardsTM program is different than other industry awards because the results are based entirely on the voice of the customer through the New Home & Builder Review Program. All builders who are participating in the program are eligible for the awards.  The annual awards program awards the winner and finalists in each region as well as the Best in Class - Alberta  and Overall Alberta winner and finalists.  The regional awards are given out at the regional CHBA awards ceremonies and the provincial awards at the CHBA - Alberta BUILD Conference annually.

Regional Award Criteria

The top 3 finalists in each region in the single family and multi-family category based on volume will be recognized at the CHBA regional events.  The builder who had the highest overall weighted satisfaction score and achieved the desired response rate in the one month after possession survey will be awarded as The New Homebuyers' Choice AwardsTM winner in their respective category.

The 2016 Awards Program will include possessions of November 1, 2014 – October 31, 2015.  The completed reviews must have been received by December 31, 2015 to be included in this years’ awards program.

Regions:

  • Calgary & Area
  • Edmonton & Area
  • Northern Alberta
  • Central Alberta
  • Southern Alberta

The New Home & Builder Review regions were realigned to match the CHBA regions for the awards program from 2016 onwards in order for builders to receive their awards in the CHBA region they are a member of.
